Resumen de varias opiniones:

                                                 “LA GUITARRA QUE SUENA COMO GUITARRA Y CONTRABAJO A LA VEZ”

Aclaración: Si  bien los guitarristas que tocan a la manera clásica, hacen  funcionar el instrumento como un pequeño Trío de Cuerdas en miniatura (el Compositor Héctor Berlioz decía que la guitarra es la “pequeña orquesta”)

Evidentemente, la práctica de la Técnica del Gran Maestro, Guitarrista  y Compositor. Abel Carlevaro, que es la base de su Escuela, y que potencia aquellas características orquestales, además de eso, desarrolló una fuerza particular en el dedo pulgar de mi mano derecha.

              Sintetizando: Esta posibilidad fue criticada por algunos, y alabada por otros en partes iguales: Hubo y hay sonidistas que directamente me sacan los graves desde la consola, y a la vez me piden que toque “más suave” con el pulgar…etc. etc.

Por otro lado hay gente que alaba ese funcionamiento, diciendo: “puede tocar sin contrabajo” etc. etc.

                                Así que resolví que  ésta controvertida característica del pulgar en mis interpretaciones, sea de ahora en mas, mí  carta de presentación.
Aclaro que en la música clásica,cuando la textura es homófona, hay voces principales y voces secundarias, y en ese esquema la zona grave no puede estar a la par de las voces principales,salvo que la melodía pase momentáneamente al bajo,Pero en la música popular(donde funcionan otras normas,o por lo menos no,las de la música clásica) principalmente en el Jazz se dió a partir de las experiencias de Jimmy Blanton con Duke Ellington un aumento de volumen en el contrabajo,con un sonido sulfatado,desbordado y maravilloso que hoy ya es parte del sonido de ese instrumento.

Summary of various opinions:

                                                  "GUITAR AND BASS GUITAR SOUNDS LIKE A TIME"
